About Tom
Currently, Battaglia is a Minor League PT with the San Francisco Giants. He began working with the Giants in August 2021. Prior to his job in baseball, he worked as an outpatient PT in a private practice and as a sports/orthopedic PT in Minneapolis, MN. He completed his Bachelor of Science (Biology) and Bachelor of Applied Science (Exercise Science) at the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2015. After his undergraduate studies, Battaglia completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Minnesota in 2019. He completed a Sports Residency at M Health Fairview in Minneapolis during 2020-2021. In 2022, he became a Board-Certified Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS). Additional certifications include Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Emergency Responder for the Athlete (ERA), and Dry Needling. He currently assists with the Education Committee within the PBPTS.
