About Shanon
Shanon is currently the Rehabilitation and Return to Play Specialist for the Seattle Mariners. She has been in this role since the 2023 season. Prior to this role, she was with the Philadelphia 76ers and G-league affiliate, Delaware Blue Coats as Associate Physical Therapist. Shanon graduated from Wilmington College of Ohio with her Bachelor’s degree in Biology in 2011 and earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Dayton in 2014. She completed a sports physical therapy residency in division 1 athletics at Saint Francis University in 2017, participated in the American Academy of Sports Physical Therapy Kevin Wilk Traveling Fellowship in 2019, interned as a Human Performance Coach with Southern Methodist University Football in 2020, and completed fellowship training in orthopaedic manual physical therapy in 2021. She holds certifications as a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, spinal manipulative therapy, dry needling, and blood flow restriction training.
