About Sarah
Clay, 33, enters her fourth season with the Rays and the second as the Major League Physical Therapist. She spent the previous two seasons as a minor league physical therapist at the club’s spring training complex in Port Charlotte. She joined the Rays after completing the final clinical rotation of her doctoral program with the Twins in 2023. She has previously owned a sports performance business for outdoor athletes, where she worked with beach volleyball players and climbers. Clay obtained her doctorate degree in physical therapy from the University of Augustine in 2023 after earning a bachelor’s degree in biology at Clark University in 2015. An NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach, she is also a former lacrosse and soccer coach. She resides in St. Petersburg.
