About Ryan
Ryan is a sports certified & residency trained physical therapist, currently working for the Seattle Mariners. He has been with Seattle since the 2023 season & previously was a minor league physical therapist for the Milwaukee Brewers for the 2021 & 2022 seasons. Ryan earned his doctorate of physical therapy from Washington University in St. Louis where his focus was on connecting Shirley Sahrmann’s Movement System Impairment to the elite athlete. Ryan then completed a sports physical therapy residency program at the University of Florida, with a special interest in upper extremity injuries/athletes. He is of Ecuadorian heritage on his mother’s side & enjoys improving in his proficiency of the Spanish language & culture. Ryan has earned the following certifications since joining the profession: strength & conditioning specialist, dry needling, emergency response for the athlete, & sports manual therapy. When not working, he enjoys working out, reading & spending time with his family & dog.
