About Nick

Currently, Mathews is a Minor League PT with the San Francisco Giants. He began working with the Giants in July 2022. Prior to his job in baseball, he worked as a sports PT in Houston, Texas. He completed his Bachelor of Science (Exercise and Sports Science) at Piedmont College in 2017. After his undergraduate studies, Mathews completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Indiana in 2020. He completed a Sports Residency at Houston Methodist in Houston, Texas during 2020-2021. In 2022, he became a Board-Certified Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS). Additional certifications include Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Emergency Responder for the Athlete (ERA), and Dry Needling.
