About John
John is entering his fifth season with the Seattle Mariners after being hired in 2018 as the Minor League Medical/ATC Coordinator. He is now entering his 2nd season as the Manager of Rehabilitation and Return to Play. John is a native of Covington, KY. He has been a physical therapist since 2002 and began his career in professional baseball with the Cincinnati Reds in 2005 as the Minor League Rehabilitation Coordinator. He was promoted to Major League Physical therapist in 2007-2010 with Reds. He has management experience in outpatient orthopedic clinics as well as owning and operating his own golf fitness training business. He has presented and authored papers on various topics throughout his career. He is currently on the board of directors for the Professional Baseball Physical Therapist Society. He currently is credentialed a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (2003-Present)
He is a 2002 graduate of East Carolina University with a Masters in Physical Therapy. He is a former Division II collegiate basketball player and avid golfer. He currently resides in Anthem, AZ with is wife Laura, and his children, Madison, Ayden, and Gabriella.
