About Regan

Regan is entering his 8th season as the Major League Physical Therapist for the Texas Rangers Baseball Club. His roles focuses on the rehabilitation, injury prevention, and daily performance needs of the major league roster throughout the championship season. Regan grew up in upstate New York and graduated with his B.S. Clinical Science 2000 and M.S. Physical Therapy 2001 degrees from Ithaca College, Ithaca, NY. He went on to earn his D.P.T. Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, St. Augustine, FL in 2008 while working full-time in outpatient sports medicine clinics. Regan obtained his Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the National Strength & Conditioning Association 2001, Manual Therapy Certification (MTC) from the University of St. Augustine, FL 2005, both Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS) 2007 and Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) 2008 from the American Physical Therapy Association, Certification in Dry Needling (Cert. DN) from the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy 2017, and has maintained his Emergency Response for the Athlete (ERA) training. Prior to working in professional baseball, Regan worked 20 years in a variety of settings including the collegiate level, private practice, outpatient sports medicine, concierge, and inpatient acute hospital settings. Before joining the Rangers, Regan was the former Director of Rehabilitation at TMI Sports Medicine, Arlington, TX specializing in the treatment of overhead throwing athletes while working alongside Dr. Keith Meister. He has been involved with clinical research and has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as the American Journal of Sports Medicine, Journal of Athletic Training, International Journal of Sports Physical Therapy, Journal of Shoulder & Elbow Surgery, and Journal of Strength & Conditioning Research. Regan is a 2023 World Series Champion with the Texas Rangers organization.
